Stelios Faitakis is a famous Greek painter, born in 1976 in Athens. He lives and works in his native city. He studied at the Athens School of Art in 1996-2003. The works o Stelios Faitakis were presented in solo shows and the group exhibitions 'Art in the streets' (Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, 2011), 'Language Matters' (Danish Pavillion, 54th Venice Biennale,2011), 'Labyrinths' (Beijing, 2007), 'Destroy Athens' (first Athens Biennal, 2007), 11th Biennale of Young European and Meditteranean artists (Athens, 2003).

In his works, Stelios Faitakis combines traditional Orthodox iconography, German expressionism, the influence of Italian artists from street art a nd the trends of the Middle East. Highly regarded by the specialists and honoured among the best works of the 54th Venetian Biennale, he  now participates in the first Kyiv International Biennale of Modern Art
